Life can feel like a labyrinth.
Therapy offers a thread.

I'm Calum Roche, a psychoanalytic psychotherapy trainee in my fourth year at the Philadelphia Association, with over ten years' experience supporting people in the NHS. I offer depth-oriented psychotherapy for adults, working relationally to help you understand the patterns that shape your relationships, your sense of self and your wellbeing.

A relational approach

We look at how your relationships, past and present, shape the way you think, feel and connect with others.

Time and space to think

Weekly 50-minute sessions at a regular time, in person in Central London and online.

Experienced and registered

Ten years in NHS services. Trainee member of the UKCP, with an enhanced DBS certificate.

How I work

Four ways of paying attention

My practice draws on four closely related traditions. In the room these aren't separate techniques, but different ways of understanding your history, your relationships, and the questions that matter most to you.

“There is a great deal of pain in life and perhaps the only pain that can be avoided is the pain that comes from trying to avoid pain”.

~R.D Laing

By addressing that pain, you can relieve it.

Get in touch.

Making the first step can feel daunting. You don't need the right words — a few lines about what has brought you here is more than enough. I aim to reply within two working days.

What happens next:

I'll reply to arrange an initial consultation at a time that suits you. This first meeting is free of charge and carries no obligation to continue — it gives us both a sense of whether the work feels right before anything longer-term is decided.
